I am a multimedia journalist currently working at a station in Bangor, Maine. I love every aspect of the news industry and have dedicated myself to bringing viewers the news they need and want to know. I have been in the business for about 2 years now, but my passion for journalism began long before that. My first taste of a real newsroom came from my internship at WAAY 31 in Huntsville, Alabama. After spending 4 months at that internship, learning the ins and outs of the industry, I knew that news was no longer just a career path I wanted to embark on, but a passion I needed to fulfill.
My current position is the 10PM and 11PM weekday anchor. I love commanding the anchor desk and informing those at home of the day's events. I am also considered the night side reporter and get to go live from various events around the community, including breaking news. I love to get out in the field and really interact with people and tell their stories. As far as equipment goes, I'm able to operate both the Panasonic 500 and 200 cameras. When it comes to editing, I'm proficient at Final Cut and know my way around the ENPS system.
Whatever the news of the day may be, I'm ready and
willing to do anything from in-depth investigations, to the
"feel good" stories that put a smile on viewer's faces. I
know the road may by bumpy, but I believe my sheer grit and
determination to succeed in this business will help me to
join the ranks of journalism greats.”
