Lauren Morrison is currently a reporter and fill-in anchor at anchor at WAFF 48 News in Huntsville, Alabama.
She has been a part of the morning show team at the station for over 2 years, but she has been ready and willing to jump into any newscast where she is needed.
Lauren anchors several times a month during both the weekday morning and weekend evening newscast. When she’s not busy anchoring, she has on her reporter hat.
She was just chosen to debut the new “Alert Center” to the weekday morning show. She is known as the “breaking news” anchor and jumps in with just a moment’s notice to bring viewers the news that’s happening right now. This has greatly improved her ad-libbing skills.
Just months into her tenure at WAFF, Lauren was chosen to cover the BCS National Championship game in Miami. She was once again selected to cover the game the next year in Pasadena.
In late 2013, she was selected to attend “Bridging the Gap: A Military Experience for Journalist.” This was a weeklong experience that allowed her to go “inside” and see what military life was like.
Lauren is a dedicated journalist with a proven track record for making positive changes in every
newsroom she enters.
